Reloop has been making decent DJ controllers for some time now, but its freshly announce Terminal Mix 4 is its first foray into dedicated Serato controllership. The name is pretty pragmatic, yes it’s a DJ terminal, and it has four channels for you to mix with. There’s a sound interface on board, and Serato were involved in the development, so we trust it fits the software like a glove. As usual there are / will be mappings for Virtual DJ, Traktor, and probably more.
The thing certainly looks impressive, if not a little N6-ish, but that’s not exactly unlikely considering. The platters in particular look quite luxurious being described as ‘ultra-flat’, and packing an impressive 15.5cm, there’s also a non-slip vinyl-grip coating for those butter fingers.
Reloop hasn’t given us release dates of dollars yet, but we’re going to make a guess at about $/£/€ 499 coming out soon after NAMM, and you’ll get Serato DJ Intro and Virtual DJ 4-Deck (Reloop edition) bundled in. All the rest of the tech spec can be found below.
